Styles and times of Worship at the Oratia Combined Church

The ‘Regular’ 9.30 am every Sunday worship pattern is as follows:

FIRST Sunday each month = A Presbyterian Service.

SECOND Sunday = Ecumenical Family Service; led by Worship Team members, sometimes with guest speakers and of a great variety of themes and styles as advertised in our monthly newsletter as attached to this website.

THIRD Sunday = A Methodist Service.

FOURTH Sunday = Anglican Holy Communion

FIFTH Sunday (when there is one) A Contemporary Style of worship.

On the 'denominational' Sundays, clergy and/or lay leadership may visit respectively from the Titirangi Presbyterian Parish, the Waitakere Methodist Parish or St Andrew's Glen Eden Anglican Church. But churchgoers are from these as well as other Christian traditions.

Other times

  • As advertised well in advance, there are special occasions, such as the 'Christ's Last Supper' ceremony on the Thursday before Easter, a Good Friday event, the Community Carol Service on a Sunday Evening before Christmas and a special Evening Service from time to time.
  • A guest Samoan Methodist group meets from 12.00 Noon on most Sundays for children's instruction and all age worship.
